Thrall High-Side Gondola with Load, NORX No. 2 is a detailed HO-scale model that recreates Thrall’s coal-hauler high-side gondolas from the 1960s through the 1980s. The replica includes a coal load to simulate a car in service, giving layout scenes an authentic bulk-car presence that’s true to the era.

Designed to run on Code 40, 55, and 80 rail, the model features machined metal wheels, screw-mounted 100-ton roller-bearing trucks, body-mounted McHenry scale operating knuckle couplers, and a separately applied brake wheel. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and the car is weighted for smooth, reliable operation with a minimum curve radius of 9 3/4 inches.
