HO 50' Ice Bunker Reefer Model (ATH50033)

HO-scale 50-foot Ice Bunker Reefer is a meticulously detailed model of the refrigerated boxcar used to move perishable freight such as dairy, meat, and vegetables on HO layouts. It recreates the look of mid-20th-century ice-cooled reefers and comes ready to run, giving model railroaders an authentic refrigeration-era car that adds historical realism to a lineup of rolling stock.

It features separately applied end tack boards and door latch bars, molded and wire-form grab irons, stirrup steps and recessed ladders, plus positionable Santa Fe-style ice hatches with etched hatch stops. The model is fully assembled and weighted for stable operation, includes a photo-etched brake platform, McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and precision-machined RP25 wheels for smooth rolling. The highly detailed injection-molded body and a minimum curve radius of 18 inches ensure compatibility with a wide range of HO layouts.
