HO-scale PS-2 2600 cubic-foot Covered Hopper in Chicago and North Western livery is a ready-to-run model that faithfully recreates a 1960s-era cement and sand service hopper for a model railroad layout.

Designed for smooth layout operation, it features a prototype-matched roof with flush or overhanging options, detailed end cages and etched end platforms, and a highly realistic injection-molded body. The car uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers and machined metal RP25 wheels to ensure reliable performance on most track brands. It is weighted for stable handling, accurately painted and printed for prototypical realism, and ships fully assembled and ready to place on the rails. It negotiates an 18-inch minimum radius, making it suitable for common hobby curves. In prototype service, PS-2 2600 cu ft hoppers were widely used for cement and sand from the 1960s onward and could also serve as buffer cars when a bulkhead wasn’t used.
