HO-scale F59PHI Locomotive with DCC and Sound is an HO model of Electro-Motive Division's high-speed commuter locomotive. Originally built for California’s CDOT and used across North America, the F59PHI is known for its lightweight body and streamlined profile. This model captures those details with LED lighting and onboard Econami sound by SoundTraxx, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, and it operates in both DC and DCC modes with full DCC functionality when set up for DCC.

Built for reliable performance on HO layouts, the locomotive rides on a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive and a precise 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet operation. It’s DCC-ready via Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, and includes see-through window glazing, radiator and dynamic brake fan detail, separately applied horn and grab irons, Celcon scale handrails, and a snowplow. Realistic details such as McHenry knuckle couplers, RP25 wheels, and fully decorated sides round out the model. Ready to run out of the box, it offers multiple road numbers and an 18-inch minimum radius; the Econami sound system is configurable through CVs for MU lashups and other prototypical operations.
