HO Scale 50-foot Superior Plug Boxcar in BNSF livery is a meticulously detailed model designed for authentic operation on HO layouts or display. Based on a late-1960s Fruit Growers Express design, it features 10-foot-wide plug doors for a tight seal and easier forklift loading, along with separately applied brake wheel and ladders for added realism.

Equipped with 70-ton roller bearing trucks and 33-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, the model rolls smoothly and tracks well. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enable reliable, lifelike coupling, and the injection-molded body is painted and printed to faithfully reproduce prototypical schemes. Weighted for optimum performance and reflecting the prototype’s insulated, temperature-sensitive cargo design, this 50-foot boxcar is built to operate on HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches.
