HO Scale 50-Foot Superior Plug Box Car is a detailed model of a 50-foot insulated freight car designed for realistic operation on HO layouts. Based on a late-1960s Fruit Growers Express design, this model captures the car’s sealed 10-foot-wide plug doors and prototypical paint schemes to bring authentic period scenes to life on any layout.

It features separately applied brake wheel and ladders, 70-ton roller bearing trucks, 33-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and the car is weighted for steady, smooth running. With an 18-inch minimum radius, it fits standard HO curves and faithfully reproduces the insulated construction and plug-door operation of the prototype for a convincing mid-century boxcar model.
