HO Scale SD40T-2 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Southern Pacific livery is a high-detail model built for serious HO railroading. This sound-equipped version includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami sound, delivering engine, horn, and bell effects in DCC mode and functioning in DC as well. Full DCC functions are available when run in DCC mode, and all functions are NMRA compatible, making CV tuning and lashups straightforward.

Fidelity extends to prototype-grade detailing like fine-scale handrails, see-through cab windows, LED lighting, and separately applied air tanks, all mounted on an all-wheel-drive six-axle chassis for smooth, quiet operation. The model is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug and can accept a Genesis motor retrofit kit for higher performance. It is designed for HO layouts with minimum radii of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) and supports MU lashups for lead-unit control of horn, bell, and lights.
