HO scale SD40T-2 with DCC and Sound in Southern Pacific livery is a ready-to-run six-axle diesel-electric locomotive that captures the SP tunnel-motor’s distinctive cooling design. This model reproduces roughly 3,000 horsepower and features the rear radiator intakes that helped keep engines cool in tunnels, making it a convincing centerpiece for Southern Pacific-era layouts.

Loaded with realistic detail and modern control, it includes onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx, operable in both DC and DCC, with NMRA-compatible functions in DCC and full DCC functionality. It’s DCC-ready with a 21-pin NMRA plug and comes with fine-scale handrails, see-through cab windows, separately applied air tanks, photo-etch windshield wipers, LED lighting, and a highly detailed body.
