HO-scale ready-to-run SD40T-2 with DCC and Sound in D&RGW livery, number 5350, is a six-axle diesel-electric locomotive designed to deliver a realistic tunnel-motor experience on an HO layout. Powered by a 16‑cylinder EMD 645E3 engine delivering about 3,000 horsepower, it includes onboard Econami sound by SoundTraxx and runs on both DC and DCC layouts, with full DCC function support and some features limited in DC mode. DCC-ready via a 21-pin NMRA Quick Plug, it uses a robust drive system for smooth, quiet operation.

Detailing includes fine-scale handrails, see-through cab windows and radiator grilles, separately applied air tanks, welded ECAFB, photo-etched windshield wipers, LED lighting, and see-through dynamic brake fans. The model features nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours and all-wheel electrical pickup for steady power, plus McHenry scale knuckle couplers and faithful decoration to match the prototype. Designed for 22" minimum-radius curves, it’s built for serious HO layouts that demand realism and reliable, smooth performance.
