HO RTR SD40T-2 with DCC and Sound W&LE/Ex-UP #8795 (ATH72175)

HO-scale Ready-to-Run SD40T-2 tunnel-motor locomotive in W&LE/Ex-UP #8795 livery. This six-axle diesel-electric model reproduces the prototype’s distinctive tunnel-motor cooling design, powered by the GM-EMD 16‑cylinder engine and delivering about 3,000 horsepower in real life. The model features onboard Econami sound and DCC, with sound functions operable on both DC and DCC layouts.

Fully assembled and ready to run, it combines prototypical detail with smooth operation. Highlights include fine-scale handrails, see-through cab windows and radiator details, LED lighting, and all-wheel pickup. The chassis is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug interface, and features nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours, a 5-pole motor with flywheels for quiet performance, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers. Painted and printed decoration enhances realism, and a 22-inch minimum radius is recommended for best tracking. Sound-equipped versions include onboard Econami sound that works in both DC and DCC with full DCC functionality; some functions may be limited on DC.
