HO GP38-2 Locomotive, sound-ready with a speaker, is an HO-scale model built for realistic switching and freight-haul duties. It ships fully assembled and ready to run, with a convincing level of decoration and on-board sound that brings the prototype to life on any layout.

Designed for reliability and pro-grade performance, this GP38-2 features a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels for smooth, quiet operation. It includes see-through cab windows, factory-installed Celcon handrails and individually applied wire-form grab irons, and a DCC-ready 21-pin NEM plug. LED headlights, ditch lights, and beacons illuminate the model, while separately applied horns, McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours enhance realism. Replacement parts are available, and the model is fully decorated with a lifelike finish. It’s designed for HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) for best performance.
