HO 53' Wabash Plate Trailer Plastic Model (ATH72825)

An HO-scale plastic model of the Wabash 53-foot Plate trailer, designed for authentic piggyback and TOFC scenes on modern HO railroad layouts. It features separately-applied landing gear and mud flaps, a highly detailed injection-molded body, and paint and printing based on prototype photography to reproduce a convincing in-service look.

Primed for grime modeling, this trailer captures the faded base colors and weathered feel found on real equipment, while providing a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust. The Wabash Plate trailer dates to the 1990s, distinguished by uneven rib spacing and its use in piggyback service through the 1990s and 2000s before being supplanted by the DuraPlate line, though these veterans can still be seen on roads and rails today.
