HO SD40T-2 Locomotive D&RGW #5400 (ATH73044)

Rio Grande SD40T-2 HO-Scale Locomotive, DRGW 5400, is a detailed ready-to-run model of the six-axle tunnel-motor that powered the Rio Grande Western's freight trains in the 1970s and 80s. This HO-scale locomotive is designed for model railroaders seeking authentic period operation and robust performance on their layouts.

Inside, the model features fine-scale handrails, photo-etched windshield wipers, see-through dynamic brake fans and radiator grilles, and separately applied air tanks, all paired with LED lighting and RP25-profile wheels for smooth running on common HO track. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug, and sound-equipped versions add a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 decoder delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds with full DCC functionality.
