It captures the prototype’s distinctive 1990s lighting package with an 88-inch nose with brake wheel, a large Sinclair antenna, relocated P3 horn, tall front ditch lights, and a Stratolight beacon, complemented by a small EMD plow and extended-range dynamic brakes for that unmistakable 'xmas tree' glow.

Beneath its highly detailed shell, the model blends meticulous detailing with reliable operation: fine-scale handrails, photo-etched windshield wipers, see-through dynamic brake fans, separately applied air tanks, and wire grab irons, all illuminated by LED lighting. The drivetrain uses a five-pole motor with flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation, with all-wheel electrical pickup and nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours that work with most brands of track.
