HO-scale SP Kodachrome SD40T-2 Locomotive with DCC and Sound is a detailed, ready-to-run HO model of EMD’s six-axle tunnel motor, recreated in the mid-1980s SP Kodachrome livery that paired SP red with Santa Fe yellow. The Snoot-nose design is captured with subtle differences among three road-number variants, and the model carries refinements such as Gyra lights that operate in DCC, a cab roof air conditioner, a P3 horn, standard dynamic brakes, and see-through lower air intakes, complemented by fine-scale handrails, photo-etched windshield wipers, and see-through radiator grilles for convincing realism on your layout.

Fully assembled and ready-to-run, this locomotive features all-wheel electrical pickup, RP25 wheels, McHenry scale knuckle couplers, and a painted, highly detailed body. Sound-equipped versions include an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound that works in both DC and DCC with full DCC functionality, plus engine, horn, and bell sounds.
