HO Scale SD40T-2 Locomotive with DCC and Sound. This HO-scale model reproduces the General Motors EMD SD40T-2 tunnel-motor, a six-axle diesel-electric locomotive delivering about 3,000 horsepower. Fully assembled and ready to run, it features an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and LED lighting for authentic daytime and night-time operation. It runs on DC or DCC layouts, providing smooth slow-speed performance for switching, yard work, or longer runs.

Details include fine-scale handrails, etched windshield wipers, separately applied air tanks, see-through dynamic brake fans and radiator grilles, plus McHenry scale-knuckle couplers and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet operation. The model uses nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours for reliable operation on popular HO tracks, and is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug for easy decoder upgrades.
