HO-scale SD40 Locomotive in CR/PC patched livery is a detailed, ready-to-run model built for HO railroads. It captures the look and feel of late-1960s EMD power with authentic styling that enhances any layout while delivering smooth, reliable pulling power.

In addition to its visual accuracy, the model supports versatile operation with a DCC-ready design and Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector for easy setup, plus a refined drive system featuring a 5-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels and all-wheel electrical pickup for quiet, dependable performance. Sound-equipped variants include an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Econami, a single cube speaker, and NMRA-compatible functions in DCC mode; engine, horn, and bell sounds also work in DC (some functions limited in DC). It includes LED lighting and numerous detailing features such as photo-etched windshield wipers, separately applied grab irons and air tanks, curved radiator fan grab irons, see-through cab windows, Flexicoil-C trucks, RP25 wheel contours, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are Kadee-compatible. For layout fit, minimum radius is 18 inches with 22 inches recommended; a CV chart is included to help tailor performance.
