HO Cupola Caboose Wabash #2834 (ATH74033)

An HO-scale Cupola Caboose in Wabash livery, this model captures the look and role of a classic end-of-train car. Cabooses provided shelter for the crew at the rear of the train, and the cupola projected above the roof offered an elevated vantage point for the conductor and rear brakeman to observe the train and spot issues such as overheated wheel bearings, shifting loads, or damaged equipment as it moved.

Designed for reliable operation on HO layouts, the model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with fine end handrails and ladders, Barber or Bettendorf swing-motion caboose trucks as used on the prototype, and a weighted underframe for stable tracking. It is painted and decorated for realism, with clear windows and separately applied smoke jack and brake wheel. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth running on most brands of track, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide authentic coupling. A minimum radius of 15 inches is recommended for best performance.
