HO Thrall High-Side Gondola with Load in CPR livery is an HO-scale freight-car model designed to bring realistic coal-hauling service to a layout. It features a removable load so the car can be shown both loaded and empty, and it reproduces Thrall’s distinctive high-side gondola profile used for bulk coal transport.

Built for dependable operation on HO track, this model includes wire and plastic handrails, stirrup steps, ladders, and underbody details, plus separately applied brake gear with a brake wheel, air reservoir, and brake cylinder. It rides on 100-ton trucks with 36-inch wheels and RP25 contours for compatibility with popular HO brands, and it uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers for smooth, prototypical handling. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and the model is weighted for steady running, with a minimum radius of 18 inches. It’s primed for grime-style weathering, offering faded base colors that mirror the prototype and providing a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust.
