Thrall High-Side Gondola with Load for HO scale is a detailed reproduction of Thrall’s coal-hauling gondolas, presented in the SEPX #2 scheme. The model features a removable load and authentic detailing, including wire and plastic handrails, stirrup steps, ladders, and underbody components, plus separately applied brake gear with a brake wheel, air reservoir, and brake cylinder for a convincing in-service appearance.

Designed to run on standard HO track, it rides on 100-ton trucks with 36-inch wheels in RP25 contours for compatibility with most brands. McHenry scale knuckle couplers provide reliable, prototypical coupling, and the injection-molded body is weighted for smooth operation on curves and switches with a minimum 18-inch radius. The model is primed for grime, delivering a faithful base for weathering to recreate real-world coal-haul scenes in yards or on mainlines. Thrall was a prominent builder of coal-service gondolas in the 1960s–1980s, and this replica captures that heritage with accuracy and character.
