HO Scale Thrall High-Side Gondola with Load, NORX No. 1 is a detailed freight-car model built to reproduce Thrall’s coal-hauling gondolas from the 1960s through the 1980s. It features a removable load and a full set of exterior details, including wire and plastic handrails, stirrup steps, ladders, and underbody details, plus separately-applied brake gear with a brake wheel, air reservoir, and brake cylinder. The car rides on 100-ton trucks with 36" RP25-contour wheels and McHenry scale knuckle couplers for reliable operation, and the injection-molded body is weighted for stable performance on HO layouts with a minimum 18" radius.

Primed for grime weathering, this gondola offers an authentic in-service look with base colors faded to match the prototype, providing an ideal starting point for adding grime, rust, and wear. Thrall was a major freight-car maker from the 1960s to the 1980s, known for high-side gondolas used to haul coal, and this HO model preserves that heritage while delivering dependable performance on popular track brands.
