HO Thrall High Side Gondola with Load NORX #3 (ATH7682)

HO-scale Thrall high-side gondola with a removable load is a detailed freight car designed to depict Thrall’s high-side gondolas used in coal service. The removable load adds versatility for display and weathering, letting a layout show the car in different states of readiness.

The model includes wire and plastic handrails, ladders, stirrup steps, and underbody details, along with separately-applied brake gear, including a brake wheel, air reservoir, and brake cylinder. It rides on 100-ton trucks with 36-inch wheels and RP25 contours, compatible with most HO track brands, and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers for authentic operation. The injection-molded body is weighted for smooth performance, and a minimum 18-inch radius keeps it adaptable to common layouts. Primed for grime models, the car presents an in-service look with base colors faded to match the prototype, providing a ready starting point for adding grime and rust.
