Finished in HI livery with road number 7072, the locomotive comes packed with detail: operating ditch lights, road-name-specific horn, plow, rear grills, trucks, and antennas; see-through cab windows; fine-scale handrails; factory-applied sunshades, frame-mounted bell, exhaust stack, brake wheel, rear sand filler, and air tanks. It also features separately-applied wire grab irons, steerable or Hi-ad trucks with independent shock struts and brake cylinders, a 5,000-gallon fuel tank, LED lighting, and bi-directional constant lighting. Under the hood lies a 5-pole motor with precision-machined flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation, supported by all-wheel drive and electrical pickup in a heavy die-cast frame. McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers handle prototypical coupling, with Quick Plug DCC-ready setup via a 21-pin NEM connector and RP25-profile wheels compatible with common HO track.
