HO ACF 2970 Covered Hopper NAHX #90401 (ATH81065)

HO Scale ACF 2970 Covered Hopper, NAHX is a highly detailed model of American Car and Foundry’s two-bay Centerflow hopper. Recreating the 2970-cubic-foot capacity design from the 1950s, this car was built to haul dense bulk loads such as cement and sand, and its rounded Centerflow body provides the strength needed for gravity unloading.

Designed for realistic HO-scale operation, the model features a photo-etched metal roof walk, separately applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps and brake wheel, along with detailed outlets and a complete brake system with wire-plumbed components. It rides on screw-mounted express-type trucks with machined RP25-contoured wheels and is weighted for smooth handling on layouts. The car uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers, and the injection-molded body is painted and printed for lifelike decoration. It can run on HO layouts with curves as small as 18 inches.
