It captures period detail with authentic options like round or trough hatches, a photo-etched roof walk, and separately applied wire grab irons, stirrup steps and brake wheel. The braking system is fully modeled, including a separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire plumbing, while screw-mounted express-type trucks roll on machined RP25 wheels and the model is weighted for steady operation. The injection-molded body is painted and decorated for realism, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers enable prototypical handling.
