HO-scale BethGon Coalporter with Load in Burlington Northern livery, BN #2, is a high-capacity coal car built for realistic coal-haul scenes on model railroads.

It features a newly re-tooled body, separate wire-form grab irons, etched-metal coupler platforms, and a separately applied brake wheel, plus multiple road numbers. The model rides on 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, is weighted for steady operation, and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. Fully painted and lettered for authentic Burlington Northern decoration, it supports curves as tight as 18 inches in radius. The prototype’s all-aluminum bathtub-style bottom delivers increased cubic capacity and a lower center of gravity for better tracking, and one end carries a rotary coupler to allow trains to feed through a rotary unloader without uncoupling.
