HO Bethgon Coalporter with Load (ATH81598)

HO-scale BethGon Coalporter with Load is a high-capacity coal car replica designed for realistic bulk coal service on model railroads. This HO model reproduces the all-aluminum BethGon design with a trough-style bottom that increases carrying capacity while keeping a lower center of gravity for steadier tracking, and one end features a rotary coupler to allow trains to be fed through rotary unloaders without uncoupling.

It features a newly re-tooled, highly detailed injection-molded body with separate wire-form grab irons and etched metal coupler platforms, a separately applied brake wheel, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The car rides on 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, is weighted for smooth operation, and is painted and printed for realistic decoration. With multiple road numbers and a minimum curve radius of eighteen inches, this model is designed for authentic operation on HO layouts and in solid unit trains.
