HO BethGon Coalporter with Load (CR 3) is an HO-scale model of a high-capacity coal car designed to haul coal in realistic unit trains. It faithfully recreates the Bethlehem Steel Johnstown American BethGon design, featuring a bathtub-style bottom and a lower center of gravity for steadier tracking on modern layouts.

Inside, the model showcases a newly re-tooled body with separate wire-form grab irons, etched metal coupler platforms, and a separately applied brake wheel. It rolls on 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and carries a weighted body for stable operation, with multiple road numbers and fully painted and printed decoration. The car uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and has a minimum radius of 18 inches for smooth curve handling; one end carries a rotary coupler to allow through rotary unloading without uncoupling.
