HO Bethgon Coalporter with Load, UP #3 (ATH81606)

HO BethGon Coalporter with Load in UP livery is a detailed HO-scale model of Bethlehem Steel’s Johnstown American coal car, designed for high-capacity coal service. It features an all-aluminum construction and a trough-style bottom that increases cubic capacity and lowers the center of gravity for steadier tracking. One end is equipped with a rotary coupler to allow feeding through a rotary unloader without uncoupling, a common arrangement for coal trains.

Finely detailed from the outset, this model sports a newly re-tooled injection-molded body with separately applied wire-form grab irons and etched metal coupler platforms, a separately applied brake wheel, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. It rides on 36-inch machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, is weighted for smooth performance, and comes painted and printed for realistic decoration. Multiple road numbers are offered, and the design is compatible with minimum 18-inch radius curves.
