HO Old-Time 2-8-0 Locomotive with DCC and Sound, GN 1147, is a ready-to-run HO-scale steam locomotive designed to bring a classic heavy-freight engine to your model railroad. With authentic attention to detail and onboard sound, it delivers a realistic, immersive operating experience.

Powered by a heavy die-cast frame and a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels for smooth pulling, the model offers all-wheel drive and electrical pickup for steady performance. It features see-through cab windows, wire-form details, a smoke stack and a boiler-mounted bell, plus bi-directional LED lighting for consistent brightness in either direction. Fully assembled, painted and decorated, it includes McHenry knuckle couplers and a DCC-ready 21-pin plug, along with nickel-plated, RP25-profile machined wheels for reliable operation on most HO track. Minimum radius is 18 inches with 22 inches recommended for best results. For sound-equipped versions, an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Ecomani provides authentic steam sounds and operates in both DC and DCC modes, with full DCC functionality and CV-adjustable MU lashups (CV chart included).
