This HO-scale Old Time 2-8-0 steam locomotive recreates a classic D&RGW freight engine in ready-to-run form and is painted to represent D&RGW #947. It includes a DCC decoder with onboard SoundTraxx sound, delivering authentic chuffs, bells, and horn for engaging operation on layouts that support both DC and DCC control.

Designed for faithful scale realism, the model features see-through cab windows, separately applied wire-form details, a smoke stack, and a boiler-mounted bell. Bi-directional LED lighting keeps headlight brightness consistent in both directions, while a heavy die-cast frame, a 5-pole motor with precision flywheels, and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain provide smooth, quiet pulling power and reliable current pickup. The locomotive rides on nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours and uses McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, with full decoration and a ready-to-run finish. It includes a DCC-ready 21-pin plug for easy decoder installation and is optimized for an 18" minimum radius (22" recommended). For sound-equipped variants, the onboard decoder powers SoundTraxx sound, works on both DC and DCC, supports full DCC functions, and allows MU lashups with CV customization (CV chart included).
