HO scale Old Time 2-8-0 steam locomotive with DCC and sound in Virginia & Truckee No. 30. This ready-to-run model captures the heft and character of a classic heavy-freight locomotive from the late 19th century, built around a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a precisely painted, lifelike body.

Designed for HO track, the model is DCC-ready with a 21-pin plug, and sound-equipped versions include an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Ecomani sound; the sound units operate in both DC and DCC, with full DCC function control and NMRA compatibility. It features see-through cab windows, separately applied wire-form details, a smokestack and a boiler-mounted bell, and bi-directional LED lighting that stays bright in either direction. The drivetrain uses all-wheel drive with precision gears and nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours for smooth running on most HO layouts, plus McHenry knuckle couplers for prototypical coupling. It is fully assembled and ready to run out of the box, finished with painted and printed decoration; minimum radius 18 inches, 22 inches recommended for best performance.
