HO SW1000 Locomotive D&RGW #148 (ATH86743)

This HO-scale Rio Grande SW1000 switcher reproduces D&RGW 148 in precise detail. Representing the second production group built in 1968, the model features roller bearing trucks and a slightly altered front stripe to match the prototype. The injection-molded body is faithfully painted and decaled, and includes operating ground lights and a detailed cab interior, with other prototype cues like drop steps, see-through radiator grille, and accurately styled lettering. Designed for HO layouts, it runs smoothly on standard tracks with a minimum radius of 18 inches, making it ideal for yard and industrial switching scenes.

Available in DC and DCC configurations, including DC-ready units with a 21-pin plug and Tsunami2 sound-equipped versions. The sound models come with onboard DCC/Sound decoders and dual cube speakers for rich, realistic audio, while DC operation offers basic functions. Both variants feature all-wheel drive with precision gears, RP25 wheel contours, McHenry scale knuckle couplers, LED lighting, and a highly detailed, fully assembled body.
