This faithful replica recreates the Rio Grande’s second group of SW1000 switchers from the late 1960s, notable for roller-bearing trucks and a slightly different front stripe. The model is available in DCC-ready form with a 21-pin plug, and the sound-equipped version uses Tsunami2 DCC sound with dual cube speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell noises; LED lighting and operating ground lights add to the realism on layouts.

Detailing includes a detailed cab interior, drop steps, MU stands, exhaust stack, printed numberboards, and separately applied wire grab irons, plus see-through radiator grille and cab windows. Finishing touches such as silver glad hands on hoses, McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee, and Quick Plug plug-and-play DCC readiness round out the package.
