The HO-scale SW1000 Locomotive with DCC and Sound is a ready-to-run model that recreates the 1,000-horsepower EMD SW1000 switcher for HO layouts, ideal for yard operations or industrial scenes within a mixed roster. Available in DCC-ready form (21-pin plug) or as a sound-equipped model, it features a Tsunami2 DCC/Sound decoder with dual cube speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, and it supports onboard LED lighting for daytime or nighttime operation. DCC-ready versions simplify decoder installation; sound-equipped variants deliver immersive operation on DCC or DC power, with some functions limited in DC mode.

In addition to faithful prototype detailing—LED ground lights, a detailed cab interior, drop steps, fine-scale handrails, and other scale touches—the model rides on RP25-contoured wheels for compatibility with popular HO track, provides all-wheel drive and precision gearing for smooth, quiet operation, and uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee. It comes fully assembled and ready to run, with a highly detailed injection-molded body and painted/decorated finish. For power users, the DCC functionality is NMRA-compliant and CVs can be tuned with an included CV chart, and the minimum operating radius is 18 inches, making it a versatile addition to yards, industrials, or mainline scenes.
