This HO-scale Southern Pacific SD45T-2 locomotive with DCC and sound reproduces SP’s iconic tunnel-motor for authentic operation on modern model railroad layouts. Road number 9338 is faithfully rendered with a full SP front headlight package featuring a cab gyralight (operates in DCC mode), the distinctive “L” window cab, roof-mounted A/C and bell, and the Nathan P-3 horn, along with large front and rear plows and a prominent anticlimber that mirror the prototype’s heavy-haul, tunnel-oriented role.

Designed for realistic performance, the model carries fine-scale details such as handrails, photo-etched windshield wipers, LED lighting, see‑through cab windows, and see-through dynamic brake fans, all sitting on an all‑wheel-drive drivetrain with a 5‑pole motor for smooth, quiet operation. It rides on nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours and uses McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers.
