HO-scale SD45T-2 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Cotton Belt livery (#9383) reproduces SP's tunnel-motor era for realistic HO layouts. This six-axle diesel-electric captures the look of Cotton Belt's SD45T-2s, including a nose headlight, a modified “L” window cab, roof A/C, and a Nathan P-3 horn, plus a large front plow and anticlimber, with faded colors that invite weathering.

Designed for faithful operation and easy weathering, the model includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Economi sound that works in both DC and DCC and provides full DCC functions in DCC mode. It features LED lighting, see-through cab windows, and meticulously detailed components such as etched windshield wipers, air tanks, and wire grab irons. The chassis is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug, supports MU lashups, and uses a 5-pole motor with flywheels for smooth, quiet running. Nickel-plated, blackened machined wheels with RP25 contours roll on HO track, and McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers complete the prototype look. Minimum radius is 18 inches with a recommended 22 inches for optimum performance. The “Primed for grime” finish gives a realistic starting point for adding rust and dirt, helping to recreate a well-used, authentic model.
