This HO-scale Santa Fe SD40 locomotive is a ready-to-run model designed to bring authentic late-1960s to early-1970s Santa Fe motive power to an HO layout. It wears the era’s Pin Stripe paint and features a rooftop Stratolite beacon, matching the period look. The model arrives fully assembled and ready to run on standard HO track, with period-accurate details like front and rear pilot foot boards and low-mounted brake cylinders, as well as see-through cab and radiator windows to heighten realism.

Beyond its appearance, the SD40 is built for dependable operation on home layouts. It uses a newly designed, more powerful and quieter can motor, an all-wheel drive system for smooth performance, and LED lighting for long life.
