HO-scale Baltimore & Lake Erie SD38 Ready-to-Run locomotive — a faithful representation of the 6-axle EMD SD38 diesel for HO layouts. Offered in BLE livery with road numbers 866, 867 and 868, these models capture prototype details such as horn type, ditch lights, and number-specific cosmetic touches. Fully assembled and ready to run, the BLE SD38 is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug and can be enhanced with onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx for operation on both DC and DCC layouts. The model is painted and printed for realistic decoration, including see-through cab windows that add to the sense of scale and detail.

Inside, the SD38 delivers dependable HO performance with all-wheel drive, a 5-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels, and full electrical pickup across axles for smooth, quiet operation.
