This HO-scale Conrail SD38 locomotive, road number 6953, is a ready-to-run model designed to bring authentic Conrail power to HO layouts. It features road-number-specific detailing such as larger Conrail logos, a front “Conrail Quality” emblem and rear Conrail insignia, a Leslie 3-chime horn, Sinclair antenna, and visible Timken bearing trucks, with no plow for this unit reflecting prototype configuration. The highly detailed injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration and includes see-through cab windows and fine-scale handrails for extra realism.

On the track, the SD38 delivers dependable, quiet operation through all-wheel drive with a six-axle chassis powered by a 5-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels and full electrical pickup across all axles.
