HO Ready-to-Run SD38 diesel locomotive with DCC and Sound in RBMN #2003 livery. This six-axle HO-scale model reproduces the GM EMD SD38 from the late 1960s and is built for smooth operation on standard layouts, featuring forward and reverse ditch lights, a small EMD front plow, and a Sinclair antenna. The RBMN edition numbered 2003 includes a fresh 2003 repaint with a website logo and a 20th-anniversary emblem, and the model arrives fully assembled and ready to run with DCC and sound options available.

Inside lies a finely detailed injection-molded body with see-through cab windows and separately applied grab irons. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM plug, uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers, all-wheel drive, and a 5-pole motor with flywheels for quiet, reliable performance. RP25 wheels ensure compatibility with common HO track, with a recommended minimum radius of 22 inches. Sound-equipped versions feature Onboard Econami by SoundTraxx, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds that operate in both DC and DCC, full DCC functionality, realistic lighting effects, and the ability to lash up multiple units and tune performance via CVs.
