HO scale Ready-to-Run SD38 with DCC and Sound in Grand Trunk Western livery. This detailed model brings the late-1960s EMD SD38/SD38AC diesel to your layout, fully assembled and ready to run, with onboard SoundTraxx Econami sound and full DCC compatibility. It features a faithful GTW repaint and period-correct detailing such as standard EMD exhaust stacks, a front plow, and an 81-inch nose, along with see-through cab windows and finely applied handrails for a realistic silhouette.

On the tracks, it delivers smooth, dependable performance with all-wheel drive, a 5-pole skew-wound motor with flywheels, and RP25-contoured wheels. The model uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers and is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NEM Quick Plug, while the sound operates in both DC and DCC and can be fine-tuned via CV adjustments.
