Inside, the model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with painted and printed livery, see-through cab windows, fine-scale handrails, and authentic details like wire grab irons and printed number boards. It is DCC-ready with a 21-pin NMRA Quick Plug, uses McHenry scale knuckle couplers, RP25 wheel contours, and an all-wheel drive drivetrain for smooth, quiet operation. The sound-equipped version includes onboard Econami Sound by SoundTraxx with engine, horn, and bell sounds that work in both DC and DCC, full NMRA-compatible functions in DCC mode, excellent slow-speed control, and controllable lighting for realistic operation; it can be programmed for MU lashups where the lead unit controls horn, bell, and lights.
