HO Bay Window Caboose (ATH90327)

This HO-scale Bay Window Caboose recreates the iconic end-of-train car, with a bay window that projects beyond the car’s side to give crews a clear view as the train is watched for switching or potential issues. Common on coal-hauler lines and unit trains where top-loading could create clearance problems, this model adds era-appropriate realism to HO layouts.

Designed for realistic operation and appearance, it features finely detailed end handrails and ladders, clear windows, and authentic caboose trucks. A separately applied smoke jack and brake wheel add to the visual accuracy, while body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers provide prototypical coupling. The model is weighted for stable performance, rolls on machined RP25 wheels, and carries a highly detailed, painted and printed body. A minimum 18-inch curve radius is recommended for smooth operation on HO layouts.
