HO Bay Window Caboose NdeM #123021 (ATH90329)

An HO-scale Bay Window Caboose in NdeM livery, this model recreates the iconic end-of-train car used on freight runs. The projecting bay window extends beyond the car side to give the crew a clear view of the train and provide shelter at the end of the consist.

Features include fine end handrails and ladders, clear windows, caboose trucks, and separately applied smoke jack and brake wheel. The body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers enable realistic coupling, while the chassis is weighted for smooth, reliable operation. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours roll true, and the highly detailed injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration. A minimum radius of 18 inches keeps it compatible with many HO layouts. In prototype terms, bay-window cabooses were common on coal-hauling and unit trains, where the extended window let crews inspect the train’s side and monitor for issues at the end.
