HO Auto-Max Carrier Model Train Car (ATH96245)

HO Auto-Max Carrier is an HO-scale articulated auto rack model that reproduces Gunderson's Auto-Max carrier, the vehicle hauler designed to carry SUVs on three internal ramps. On HO layouts, this long, tall car—over 140 feet long and about 20 feet tall from the railhead in the prototype—provides a dramatic centerpiece capable of transporting up to 22 SUVs.

The model features separately applied ladders, brake rigging, stirrups, and handbrake details, a simulated corrugated roof, and full articulation with a flexible diaphragm for realistic movement. It rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with 33-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours, is weighted for smooth operation, and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The injection-molded body is highly detailed, painted and printed for realistic decoration, and requires a minimum 22-inch radius to navigate HO curves.
