HO Auto-Max Carrier Model (ATH96247)

The HO Auto-Max Carrier is an HO-scale articulated auto rack modeled after Gunderson’s Auto-Max design, built to haul SUVs on three internal ramps. It reproduces the car’s imposing length and profile, making it a standout for modern intermodal scenes on HO layouts.

Authentic detailing and dependable operation come together in this model: separately applied ladders, brake rigging, stirrups, and handbrake details, a simulated corrugated roof, and full articulation with a flexible diaphragm. The car rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with 33-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 profiles, and uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers.
