Introducing the HO Auto-Max Carrier, a detailed HO-scale replica of Gunderson’s Auto-Max articulated auto rack car. In real service, the Auto-Max carries up to 22 sport-utility vehicles on three internal ramps, and this model recreates its distinctive length and height for lifelike scenes on an HO layout.

Features include separately applied ladders, brake rigging, stirrups, and handbrake details, a corrugated roof, and full articulation with a flexible diaphragm. Safety striping is applied, and the model rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with 33-inch machined metal wheels in RP25 contours, weighted for smooth operation. Body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, a highly detailed injection-molded body, and realistic paint and decoration complete the presentation. The minimum radius for operation is 22 inches. For context, the Auto-Max was introduced by Gunderson in 1999 to carry 22 SUVs on three internal ramps, measuring over 140 feet in length and about 20 feet tall from the railhead.
