HO Scale 30-foot NACC 8,000-gallon Tank Car in NADX Penguin Grainger Ale livery is a detailed replica of a classic North American Car Corporation tanker built to haul smaller batches of liquids. Known in the hobby as the “Beer Can” tank car, this compact design was common from the 1970s through the 1990s, and this model brings that era to life on a small layout.

Designed for realism, the model features a separate manway and vent, photo-etched platforms, wireform end and platform railings, separately applied ladders with bracing, and detailed brake gear including an air reservoir and brake wheel. A full underside with outlets adds to the realism. It rolls on authentic trucks—100-ton roller bearing or Bettendorf options—to match the prototype, with machined metal wheels in RP25 profiles for smooth operation on most tracks. Body-mounted AAR scale knuckle couplers, precise painting and printing, and a weighted body all contribute to reliable, trouble-free running. A minimum 18-inch radius is recommended for layout use.
