HO 30' NACC 8,000-Gallon Tank Model (ATH97179)

HO-scale NACC 8,000-gallon Beer Can tank car is a detailed model designed to depict smaller-volume liquid shipments on HO layouts. Based on North American Car Corporation's compact 8,000-gallon tank cars, these units were common from the 1970s through the 1990s and appear in Wyandotte Chemical and UTLX schemes.

The model captures authentic details such as separate manway and vent, photo-etched platforms, wire-form end railings, and separately applied ladders with bracing, plus brake gear with an air reservoir and brake wheel. It also features full underside detail, ready-to-roll prototype-accurate 100-ton roller-bearing or Bettendorf trucks, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and body-mounted AAR upper and lower shelf knuckle couplers. The injection-molded body is highly detailed and accurately painted, and the unit is weighted for reliable operation with a minimum turning radius of 18 inches, making it a great fit for compact HO layouts.
